I think you have it turned around. Single stone rings are usually more expensive because the larger the diamond, the higher the price. Smaller stones, but lots of them, are usually less because each diamond is less in size and weight.
The higher cost of a diamond ring is due to size, clarity, color and cut of the stone.
If you are finding dimonds relatively cheap it’s usually because of the quality of the stone.
Never buy retail for your diamonds..NEVER! The mark up on diamonds is HUGE! Never buy diamonds from a mall jeweler…find a jeweler who buys their own diamonds, like in a downtown diamond mart or jewelry mart (Los Angeles has one and so does New York).

Iam in love with a woman that broke my heart. She acts like she doesnt care about me but when I dont call her or be there when she needs something she flirts her way back and being a idiot I hang on. I thought that if I got her a ring and asked her to marry me and turned me down my stupid heart will let her go and I can move on. So I dont want to spend alot of money on a ring I think she will give right back to me but if she does say yes(I pray) I dont want her to laugh when I tell her I want to get a better one?
What a sweet guy you are! You really need to get away from this chic at all costs! She doesn’t love you…. I’m sorry to be so blunt but read your own question – she doesn’t care. You definately don’t want to marry this girl because she’ll never be what you want. You want her to want you and only you and it sure doesn’t sound like that’s what’s going on. You pray she says yes but then you think if she turns you down your stupid heart will let go?????? What is up with you? She broke your heart already – WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND – it’s your turn to move on!!! I wish you luck but you really need to wake up.

I have a wedding band and engagement ring that is platinum (silver looking) and want to wear gold jewelry sometimes. For two years, I have not worn any gold jewelry because I think it looks mismatched with my wedding band. I was thinking that I could go out and buy a cheap gold wedding band and wear that when I want to wear gold jewelry. Do people do that? Is that the right thing to do?
The old rule of "don’t mix gold and silver" is obsolete and out of date. It comes from a time when the rules stated that one must wear a hat and little white gloves every time one when out, even shopping! Lots of those fashion rules are out of date and no longer followed. Many top jewellery makers and designers mix gold and silver tone (either white gold or platinum) metals in the same piece so it doesn’t matter if you wear your silver-toned wedding rings with a pair of gold earrings or a gold bracelet. Plenty of fashion and style setters wear gold and silver together and it looks quite nice. It’s not mismatched! Don’t worry about it! No one will say anything or even notice. Often I tell clients to ignore the wedding and engagement rings when planning the accessories for an outfit since they are worn at all times. They are both very small and subtle and almost not noticed. I think it’s kind of tacky replace a piece of jewelry with so much meaning with a cheap coloured band with no meaning just so you can wear gold. Wear your platinum wedding ring and wear whatever gold jewelry that you wish, it’s not an issue.

Either on the internet or in a shop, we looked in H Samuel and saw some we liked but was a hundred each. Were on a real tight budget but want some thing really nice
Again I would suggest Argos or perhaps one of the catalogue sites like Kays or Great Universal. We do not have Walmart or Target in the UK.
